My dissertation: "International Banking Acquisitions: Determinants for Success in Latin America" is a study of the shareholder wealth effects of cross-border acquisition announcements in the banking industry.

In 2004, I published an article titled "FDI and Stock Market Development in Selected Latin American Countries" which appeared in the International Finance Review published by Elsevier.

Conference Presentations
In July 2004, I presented a working paper titled: “The Role of Cross-border Acquisitions in Privatization and Restructuring of Banking around the World” at the Academy of International Business 2004 Conference in Stockholm, Sweden.

In June 2005, I presented the following topic: "Specific Theoretical Formation on the Different Community and Non-Community Programs Related to Higher Education" at the Université Hassan II - Aïn Chock in Casablanca, Morocco.

In July 2005, I presented my co-authored paper titled: "Cross-border Investment in the Latin American Banking Sector” at the Academy of International Business 2005 Conference in Quebec, Canada.  

In October 2005, I presented a working paper titled “The Impact of Brazil’s Currency Crisis on Brazilian ADRs” at the Financial Management Association 2005 Conference in Chicago, Illinois.
